In 2024, deya / Uni-Paragon Enterprise Co., Ltd. partnered with the German company foodpanda to launch the “Circular Recycling Delivery Box.” These delivery boxes are built around green technology and sustainable design, injecting new momentum into resource reuse and achieving the vision of balancing environmental protection with convenience. This collaboration is the best interpretation of the circular economy model and marks a significant step toward a sustainable future for the delivery industry.

The Sustainability Pioneer of the Delivery Industry

foodpanda has long been driving the green transformation of the delivery industry through various initiatives, including eco-friendly stores, zero-waste programs, and low-carbon rider actions. In partnership with deya, foodpanda has launched the “Circular Recycling Delivery Box,” made from 40 recycled PET bottles each, totaling around 60,000 discarded bottles transformed into 1,500 delivery boxes. The boxes are printed with the message, “This is made from the PET bottles you used,” alongside deya Reborn’s triangular logo, symbolizing resource regeneration and return. These eco-friendly boxes act as ambassadors of sustainability, spreading the green message to the public.

Leading the Circular Economy with Green Technology

Since its founding in 1993, Deya has been committed to transforming ocean waste and PET bottles into high-value sustainable design products. Founder Xu Neng-Jun stated, “We believe that sustainable design starts at the source. Our mission is to support SDG Goal 12—Responsible Consumption and Production—through green technology and innovative design, and to pave the way for sustainable delivery journeys.”

The boxes are made with rPET material, reducing dependence on petrochemical resources and significantly cutting carbon emissions. Once the boxes reach the end of their life cycle, they can be returned and recycled into new products via Deya’s closed-loop recycling system—truly achieving a circular economy.

Foodpanda and Deya presented their collaboration case at the recent Plastic TOP100+ Annual Forum.

Co-Creating a Circular and Sustainable Path

This partnership showcases foodpanda’s commitment to environmental protection in the delivery industry and solidifies Deya’s leadership in green technology and circular economy innovation. Moving forward, Deya will continue leveraging innovative design and green technology to collaborate with more companies in advancing ESG goals—turning every step into a driving force toward a sustainable future.

A sustainable path requires collective effort—we sincerely invite businesses and the public to join us in creating a better future for our planet.
